Elma Electronic Bolsters Quality Management Company-wide with Added AS9100:D and ISO9001:2015 Certifications
June 2, 2025 | Elma ElectronicEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Elma Electronic now includes AS9100:D and ISO 9001:2015 certifications at its Horsham, Pa. manufacturing facility, earning the company a multiple site accreditation designation. This certification of the company’s Northeastern US facility covers the comprehensive design, development, assembly, sale and service of Elma’s range of rugged, integrated solutions for real-time and embedded computer systems.
Carmen Theumer, director of quality, said, “Elma’s original AS9100 certification at the Fremont, Ca. headquarters set the example for our other global locations. We have consistently upheld the same level of quality assurance across our organization, and this newest certification of the Horsham facility is a testament of that inherent company value.”
Developed specifically for quality management within the aviation, space and defense industries, AS9100 addresses aerospace regulatory, safety and reliability requirements for any aerospace organization, from design and manufacturing to maintenance and distributors. Adopted in 2016 and the most recent revision to the certification, AS9100:D is aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and focuses even more in-depth on product safety, risk awareness and configuration management.
Intertek, the issuing organization, is globally recognized as one of the first accredited registrars for AS9100. Accredited under the Aerospace Registrar Management Program and IAQG ICOT scheme, the company provides total quality assurance services through its comprehensive testing, inspection and certification process.
